eNeRGy Performing Arts!

eNeRGy Performing Arts was established for the purpose of teaching the joy of performing and learning about different art forms in a fun and exciting way, while providing quality instruction. All students, beginning through advanced, receive personal attention from experienced instructors who are committed to providing the best performing arts education available by emphasizing technical excellence, positive self-esteem, and a love for the arts.

Important Registration Information

Registration note: Upon registration, a registration fee and tuition will be charged to your credit card.
For more information regarding tuition, discount, and make up or drop policies for kids’ dance lessons, please see our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page.

Age is determined by the Wake County Public Schools cutoff date of August 31st.

Additional Performing Arts Information

  • Costume fees for all Performing Arts Classes for the 2022/2023 session are $89(+tax) for child sizes, and $99(+tax) for adult sizes and are due by November 1st, 2022. Each costume includes a pair of tights. There is a separate costume fee for each class a student is enrolled in.
  • A Recital fee of $95 will be due by Feb 1, 2023, for the 2022/2023 session. The recital fee includes a t-shirt, trophy and contributes to the venue rental and production of the recital. Tickets will be available for purchase prior to the recital. If your child will not participate in the recital, they must submit written notice by Nov 1st, 2022, or will be charged the costume fee.
  • The last day to complete performing arts makeup classes is Saturday, April 8th, 2023.

The tentative date for the 2023 Performing Arts Recital is June 10th, 2023. More information will be sent by the program director when available. 

Broadway Babies

Broadway Babies is a fun singing, dance, acting, combination class designed for ages 3-5 years old. Students will spend the first half of the class working to match pitch through music and movement while also working towards keeping a steady beat. During the second half of class. Students will also work on expression through acting and puppetry. Students in this class will gain strength and confidence in their creative and physical abilities. Broadway Babies will have one routine in the recital.   Dress Code: Any Color Leotard, Black Jazz Shoes, and Tights

Tiny Tunes (Parent-Assisted class)

Tiny Tunes is a fun Music and Gymnastics combo class for ages 2-3 years old. Students will spend the first half of class learning how to match pitch through song, storytime, and playing instruments. During the second half of class students will learn basic gymnastics skills Students in this class will gain strength and confidence in their creative and physical abilities. This is a non-recital class. Dress Code: Any Color Leotard

Little Medleys

Little Medleys is a fun Music and Gymnastics combo class for ages 4-5 years old. Students will spend the first half of class learning how to match pitch through song, storytime, and playing instruments. During the second half of class students will learn basic gymnastics skills Students in this class will gain strength and confidence in their creative and physical abilities. This is a non-recital class. Dress Code: Any Color Leotard

Group Voice Ensemble

Voice class is a fun way to be introduced to how to properly sing in an ensemble setting. Students will sing in duets and as a group. An exploration of the physiology and acoustics of the human singing voice in a group setting. Vocal techniques are taught in a group format as a healthy foundation for solo performance in both classical and non-classical singing styles. They will perform some of their pieces in the recital. Dress Code: All black movable attire; Black Jazz Shoes.

Group Theatre Class

Students will learn basic theater principles in stage movement, voice, diction, and pantomime. Students will also learn the history and vocabulary of theater. They will practice techniques to overcome stage-fright and develop self-confidence as well as concentrate on improvisational techniques and acting skills. They will perform a small one-act play in the recital. Dress Code: All black movable attire; Black Jazz Shoes.

Group Creative Acting Class

Students will learn basic theater principles in stage movement, voice, diction, and pantomime. Students will act using the Improv method through their own imagination and directed creative play. Students will also learn the history and vocabulary of theater. They will practice techniques to overcome stage-fright and develop self-confidence as well as concentrate on improvisational techniques and acting skills. They will perform a small set of improv scenes. Dress Code: All black movable attire; Black Jazz Shoes.

Group Musical Theatre 

In this upbeat, high-energy class, your student will learn new introductory skills in the areas of singing, dancing, and acting. Your student will be ready to bring their characters to life and belt out their favorite Broadway tunes for friends and family at an end of year recital! Musical theatre students will perform 1-2 routines in the recital.  Dress Code:   Girls: Black Leotard; Tights; Black Jazz Shoes   Boys: Black T-Shirt and Black Shorts, Black Jazz Shoes

The production class is designed for 2nd-12th graders and will give students a hands-on experience as they work to create a full-length play or musical. They will also explore the technical elements of the stage and the history behind Theatre and Musical Theatre. This class is designed for a more focused performing arts student and it requires a Co-Requisite of a Musical Theatre, Theatre, Dance, Voice, or Weekly Lesson. These performers will put on a full-length production at the end of the year. Dress Code: All black movable attire; Black Jazz Shoes.

Many songs in this style will be from Broadway musicals! Dancers are encouraged to take this class in character shoes that are typically worn in performing arts shows. These students will perform 1-2 dances in the year-end recital.   Dress Code: Black Leotard, Tights, and Tan Character Shoes 

Broadway Tap

Broadway Tap is a musical theater-style Tap class that incorporates dancing and acting into one! Dancers will learn the classic broadway tap technique while also portraying a character or role. Many songs in this style will be from Broadway musicals! Dancers are encouraged to take this class in black lace full sole tap shoes that are typically worn in performing arts shows. These students will perform 1-2 dances in the year-end recital.   Dress Code: Black Leotard, Tights, and Black Lace Full Sole Tap Shoes (1.5 or 2-inch heels)

Our Individual Piano and Vocal Lessons are used to build the student’s musicianship through a curriculum that covers essential skills, proficiency, widely accepted repertoire, and performance achievements. Teachers tailor lessons to each student’s age, goals, learning style, and musical preferences. Progress is updated monthly and available to view online.

The curriculum includes:

  • Method – Widely accepted method books ensure that essential and expected skills are covered.
  • Music Literacy – Reading and sight-reading of music notation, rhythm, dynamics, and expression.
  • Technique – Accuracy, speed, stamina, coordination, dynamics, fluidity and efficiency of motion.
  • Repertoire – Songs necessary to advance as a musician. Piano and Voice curriculum includes classical repertoire. This is the foundation of proper technique.
