eNeRGy Performing Arts Group Class Registration!

Class Descriptions

The curriculum includes:

  • Method – Widely accepted method books ensure that essential and expected skills are covered.
  • Music Literacy – Reading and sight-reading of music notation, rhythm, dynamics, and expression.
  • Technique – Accuracy, speed, stamina, coordination, dynamics, fluidity and efficiency of motion.
  • Repertoire – Songs necessary to advance as a musician. Piano and Voice curriculum includes classical repertoire. This is the foundation of proper technique.
Group Voice Class

Voice class is a fun way to be introduced into how to properly sing. Students will sing alone, in duets, and as a group. An exploration of the physiology and acoustics of the human singing voice in a group setting. Vocal techniques are taught in a group format as a healthy foundation for solo performance in both classical and non-classical singing styles.

Group Theatre Class

Students will learn basic theater principles in stage movement, voice, diction, and pantomime. Students will also learn the history and vocabulary of theater. They will practice techniques to overcome stage-fright and develop self-confidence as well as concentrate on improvisational techniques and acting skills.

Group Musical Theatre

In this upbeat, high-energy class, your student will learn new introductory skills in the areas of singing, dancing, and acting. Your student will be ready to bring their characters to life and belt out their favorite Broadway tunes for friends and family in an end of year recital!

Broadway Heels

Broadway Heels is a musical theater style dance class that incorporates dancing and acting into one! Dancers will learn jazz technique while also portraying a character or role. Many songs in this style will be from Broadway musicals! Dancers are encouraged to take this class in character shoes that are typically worn in performing arts shows.

Broadway Babies

Broadway Babies is a fun music, dance, and gymnastics combination class designed for ages 3 and 4 years old! Students will spend the first half of the class working to match pitch through music and movement while also working towards keeping a steady beat. During the second half of class students will learn basic gymnastics skills Students in this class will gain strength and confidence in their creative and physical abilities.

Performing Arts Dress Code

Group Voice Class
  • Please dress in movable clothes. No dresses or skirts unless it is dress rehearsal time.
  • Please do not dress in very baggy clothing. Instructors need to be able to see body alignment and proper posture to ensure proper technique.
  • Please make sure hair is pulled away from the face, so instructors can work on performance expressions.
Group Theatre Class

Broadway Babies
  • Leotard or clothing that will not get caught on equipment. No dresses, tutus or cumbersome clothing.

Important Registration Information

Registration note: Upon registration, a registration fee and tuition will be charged to your credit card.

Additional Performing Arts Information

  • A material fee of $50 will be charged upon registration to cover all books and individual materials needed for the class / lesson.
  • Costume fees for Musical Theatre and Broadway Heels for  the 2020/2021 session are $79(+tax) for child sizes and $89(+tax) for adult sizes and are due by February 1st, 2021.
  • A Performance fee of $70 will be due by March 1st, 2021 for the 2020/2021 session. The recital fee includes two free tickets and additional tickets will be available for purchase prior to the recital.
