Scott Davis – Owner/Co-Director
Mr. Scott is the Owner/ Director of eNeRGy Kidz. He has been involved in the world of gymnastics since he was 15 years of age. In 1990, he became the Boy’s Gymnastic Program Director and the Head Coach for the Boy’s Teams until 2001. In 1997, he was offered a chance to become an owner of the business and in 2001, he took over the Director’s position. He has been an active supporter of Special Olympics throughout the years. In 1995, he was the gymnastics’ coach for the 1995 World Games in New Haven, Connecticut and was a member of the 1999 Special Olympics World Games Management Team. He is a professional Member of USAG with numerous certifications such as Safety certified, Certified Women’s Meet director and other courses to further develop his knowledge. He graduated from NC State University and enjoys camping, cruising with his wife Rachel, going to the beach as well as snow and water skiing.
Rachel Davis – Owner/Co-Director
Ms. Rachel is the co-owner and co-director of eNeRGy Kidz. She grew up in Henderson NC, where she was a dancer for most of her childhood and teen years and competed with the Ballet Arts All Stars team. She went to Meredith College and received a Business Degree. In 1995, she became involved with gymnastics when she met her husband, Mr. Scott. A funny thing about her is that as a child she didn’t like gymnastics and now, she owns and operates a business with gymnastics as a main component. She is a professional member of USAG with numerous certifications such as Safety Certification, Women’s Gymnastics as well as has a Meet Directors Certification. She has also taken multiple courses provided by USAG as well as attending dance conferences in NYC on a yearly basis for eNeRGy Kidz. She and Mr. Scott have three children and loves to read, go to the beach and loves to cruise as much as possible.
Sue Gonzales – Office Manager
Ms. Sue, our office manager, has worked for eNeRGy Kidz since 2005. She also worked for us in 1995 for about 7 years. She has been married to her husband for over 35 years and they have two grown children and a grandson. She is originally from Utah and has lived in NC since 1987. Some of her favorite hobbies are watching investigative style TV shows, reading and cooking.
Gayle Young – Preschool Director
Ms. Gayle has worked for eNeRGy since 2001, however, she has been a parent of eNeRGy for over 25 years. She is responsible for the Girl’s Recreational Gymnastics Program, our Preschool Gymnastics Program as well as one of our Summer Camp Directors. Ms. Gayle was born and raised in Charlotte and came to Raleigh in 1975 and attended NC State University. Ms. Gayle has two grown children that at one time or another also worked at eNeRGy. She absolutely loves Carolina Beach music and likes to attend as many beach music festivals as she can. She also enjoys shag dancing and if we haven’t hinted to it already, she loves going to the beach.
Jenny Jordan – Assistant Preschool Director
Hannah Kohut – Girls Recreational Director
Ms. Hannah is the Girls Recreational Director and a competitive team coach. She found gymnastics at the early age of 3 years old and made it to level 10 by age 14. She went on to compete at North Carolina State University as a Division 1 College Gymnast. While competing for NC State, Hannah was a 4 year starter and specialized in vault, beam, and floor. She scored a near perfect 9.95 on the balance beam, tying as the fourth best score in school history on the apparatus. She completed her degree in Park, Recreation, and Tourism with a Minor in Business Administration in May 2014. In her spare time she enjoys doing CrossFit at 12th State CrossFit, hanging out with her family, and spending time with her dog, Slate!
Benji Stern – Boys, T&T & Team Director
Mr Benji has been involved in gymnastics for most of his life. He oversees our Boys Gymnastics Program, T&T, and is our Team Director. He graduated from Appalachian State University and works for Wake County Public Schools as a P.E. Teacher. Mr Benji is married with 2 children. He is also the state chair for NC Mens Gymnastics. Mr Benji has been working for eNeRGy Kidz since 2001.
Mike Blouin – Special Activities Director
Mr. Mike graduated from Saint Anselm College in 2005. He moved to NC soon after and has been working here ever since. He was a competitive gymnast from the age of 5 to 14 years old. Mr. Mike is pretty much our go to guy for almost anything. He is in charge of any of the special activities that go on, such as PNO’s, Birthday Parties, Clean Up Clinics and Summer Camps. He also runs our Facebook page and YouTube channel, which you should go check out (because they are awesome). Mr. Mike has an Instructor Membership with USAG and is safety certified. He continues his education with numerous courses from USAG as well as attends Gymnastics National Congress when possible. Mr. Mike is married and has a daughter and son. His favorite things besides his wife and children are drawing, disc golf, New England sports teams and science.
Renee Warren – Martial Arts Director
Ms Renee has been practicing Traditional Chinese Martial Arts for over 30 years and has been teaching Kung Fu for over 20 years. She has been teaching the southern style of Hung Gar (tiger crane) kung fu at eNeRGy Kidz since 2011. After developing a Self Awareness Self Defense course for Wake Tech Community College years ago, Ms. Renee made the decision to focus on exclusively teaching young children and teenagers the way of the Warrior/Scholar mind set. Not only does she still compete, she actively performs with her students in many local and regional area shows, events, and cultural performances. She also enjoys reading, researching and writing, as well as antiques & collectibles and meeting new people.
Morgan Lloyd – Dance Director
Miss Morgan is a 2015 graduate of Meredith College and holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and Dance Studies along with a Certificate in Professional Performance. She was a full-company member of Meredith Dance Theatre (modern-based company) for two years and served as President of the Meredith Jazz & Tap Company her senior year. Morgan had the privilege of performing at the 2015 American College Dance Festival in Maryland and upon graduation was given the Student Leadership award by the dance faculty. Also while at Meredith, she had the privilege of performing in a guest-artist piece by Julia Rhoads (Producing Artistic Director) of Lucky Plush Productions. She has studied dance for 18 years and she was a competitive dancer for seven years. She served as Miss Dance USA 2010 and worked with Dance Machine National Competition for three years following her reign. Miss Morgan is passionate about young dancers and is excited for her first year as the Director of eNeRGy Dance!
