Trampoline and Tumbling Classes for Kids
Did you know that our kids trampoline and tumbling classes are great for child development? These activities literally get the brain talking to the body. These beginning classes are a great way for your Preschool and Recreational student to noticeably increase gross motor skill development, balance and strength. Our intermediate and advanced tumbling classes are great for strengthening core muscles, increasing flexibility and improving coordination. Students will begin to further their tumbling skills as well as practice their connected tumbling passes. These habits help lead to a more healthy, energetic and fit life! And besides, what child doesn’t love running, jumping and having FUN?
Children in the Jumping Joeys Trampoline and Tumbling Preschool class will begin learning the basic building blocks of tumbling skills and the correct way to use the trampoline. While participating in fun activities that build strength and flexibility, children will develop balance and coordination skills necessary in the trampoline and tumbling environment. All classes will utilize trampoline, floor, rod floor and the tumble trak in order to increase their spatial awareness and skill progressions.
Students in the trampoline and tumbling classes will learn the basic building blocks of tumbling skills and sequences. There are three levels: Recreation, Intermediate and Advanced, with the skill level and length of class increasing as they move throughout the levels. Recreational classes will work on the basic tumbling skills such as handstands and cartwheels through spotted back handsprings. Intermediate classes will work on moving from standing tumbling such as standing back handsprings to more running tumbling such as round off back handsprings. In the Advanced classes, students will perfect tumbling series such round off back handsprings, back tucks and more advanced tumbling series. Placement in advanced tumbling classes is by instructor recommendation or skill evaluation. All trampoline and tumbling classes will utilize trampoline, floor, rod floor and the tumble trak in order to increase their spatial awareness and skill progressions.

Age is determined by the Wake County Public Schools cutoff date of August 31st.
Please be sure to note the start date of the classes below as some classes begin in June and others in August.

- Boys must wear form fitting athletic clothing (shorts and form fitting athletic shirt)
- Girls must wear form fitting athletic clothing (shorts/leggings and a form fitting athletic shirt) or a Leo and shorts/ leggings
- Everyone must have bare feet.
- Hair must be in a ponytail or clipped away from the face and off the shoulders.
- No jewelry, swim bands or hair bows. Only stud earrings are allowed with secure earring backs.
- No Crop Tops
